Make the boundary visible.
The future ISBN Manager website should collect only what it needs—and explain how that differs from private data inside the desktop app.
1. Local shop operations
The website design does not receive catalog records, sales, inventory, or customer data. Publishing a business profile must not imply public access to the desktop database.
2. Optional bookstore profile
Only explicitly selected and reviewed public fields should be eligible for submission. Every published listing needs verified ownership or authorization and a clear method for updating or withdrawing consent.
3. Licensing & account services
A future account system may need identity, purchase, and entitlement records. Exact storage, retention, vendors, and user rights must be documented when those services exist.
4. Support and feedback
Users should be told what diagnostics and contact information they choose to send. The official BassThermal support page provides current contact guidance.
