Prepare the source documents

Gather the DOCX, DOC, RTF, ODT, and TXT files you intend to convert. Remove temporary copies, confirm that questionable files open normally, and keep password-protected or damaged documents out of the batch until they are resolved.

Choose the converter, output folder, and conflict rule

Add the supported files, choose the available converter path, select where the PDFs should be written, and decide what happens when a PDF with the same name already exists.

• Use a dedicated output folder for larger jobs.
• Keep source and output folders separate when practical.
• Avoid silent overwrites unless replacing old PDFs is intentional.

Run the batch and watch the status

Verify more than the file count

Confirm that the expected number of PDFs exists, then open representative files and anything with complex formatting. Document conversion can depend on fonts, tables, images, page breaks, and the source application, so a completed status does not guarantee perfect visual fidelity.

Keep the originals until the output is accepted

PDF is the delivery format, not a replacement for the editable source. Keep the original documents until the converted set has been reviewed and accepted by the people who need it.
